Bryn Mawr Residence
The owner of this fifty-year-old ranch, located on a unique and beautiful lot in Bryn Mawr, hired architect Kiki Bolender to modernize both the interior and exterior spaces of the house, which was built by her father. The interior of the house was completely gutted and rebuilt to meet the owner’s more modern tastes and lifestyle. A second-floor addition was added, consisting of a master bedroom suite and a guest room, and the first floor was expanded to include a great room with a six-foot Vermont Casting gas fireplace. New black metal custom windows and doors were installed, affording panoramic views of the spectacular wooded lot. The new exterior finish includes a Fundermax panel curtain wall, resulting in a home that is wonderfully integrated into its environment.
